Mrs. de Freese was a truly wonderful teacher especially when it came to math. I just recently learned of her passing and wanted to pass on my condolences to her family and friends. She was a truly special person.

I truly enjoyed learning in her class. She explained math in a way I could understand. She also pushed me in a positive direction to do my best and to aim and achieve Top Student in her class. I'm thankful I was able to have her as a Teacher. Rest In Peace.
Love,
Marnee

Dear Laurie
My condolences on the passing your mom. She was so instrumental in my life. I was fortunate enough to have her in grades 4,7 &8. She helped inspire me to want to become a teacher and then recommended me for my first teaching job at Corpus Christi. As a colleague she was so supportive as I had no idea what I was doing. Be assured of my prayers for you and your family. Wish I could be there today in person. Love, Mari Tere

Dear Laurie,

I am so sorry to hear about your sweet mother's passing. She and Duchene welcomed me to Corpus Christi when I first started teaching! She was an awesome teacher and friend. I remember the sign that she had over her door that I believe your dad had made for her - "Mathematics dispensed here. Bring your own container." I know that she and your dad and Duchene will be having a wonderful time in Heaven. May God's grace surround you and your family at this most difficult time.

Laurie, so sorry for your loss. I have always considered your mom one of my best and favorite teachers. I was lucky enough to have her in 4th grade and junior high. She has always had a special place in my heart. Although I was never great at math, she never gave up on me. You and your family are in my prayers.
