Borghild, or Borghi as she preferred to be called, was born in Fürth, in Germany on February 23rd, 1946. After graduating from high school and learning English in London, she moved to the US in 1964. Five years later she started working at the World Bank, where she remained for over 30 years. After having spent over half of her life in the US, she became a US citizen in 2010. Although she never lost her German accent, she insisted she was American.
Borghi enjoyed traveling, playing and watching tennis, and reading books. She liked to laugh and have lots of visitors at the house. Most of all she loved her three grandchildren.
We will miss her very much.
