It is with great sadness that the family of Dimitrios Pantelis Blekas announces his passing on August 19, 2020.
Dimitrios was born in Athens, Greece on April 1, 1931. Surviving the hardships of post WWII Athens and having served in the Greek Air Force, Dimitrios migrated to the United States in 1961 and was very proud to be an American. With his deep love of automobiles, Dimitrios made his career as a professional chauffeur on the challenging roads of Washington, DC.
Known for always being sharp dressed and dignified with an infectious laugh and a twinkle in his eyes, he will be greatly missed by his loving wife Irene and son Dimitrios.
Services will be held at St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in Falls Church, VA on August 27, 2020 at 11:00AM with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
