Everett "Kip" Grant Germain III

Everett (Kip) Germain III, devoted husband, proud father, and loving Pappy, was called home to the Lord on March 6, 2024.

Kip was born February 28, 1957, to Everett and Lois Germain in Falls Church, VA. He was quickly followed by five siblings and graduated from Jeb Stuart High School in 1975 before attending William & Mary. Kip married the love of his life, Ann Orrison, on June 21st, 1986. They had 3 children Kimberly, Brian, and Kelly. Together, Kip and Ann spent countless hours on the road, or in the air, never missing a sporting event.

Kip loved his morning newspaper, the beach, and talking politics, but above all, he loved soccer, and he loved his family. Kip was a standout at William and Mary and still ranks among the Tribe’s all-time leading scorers despite only playing a little more than two seasons. He went on to play professionally, being drafted early from college by the Washington Diplomats. After playing, Kip went on to coach many different youth and adult soccer teams. Most importantly to him, Kip coached his wife and his three kids. Recently, Kip was ecstatic to focus his time on coaching his grandsons to “use their left foot” from the time they could walk.

Kip spent the remainder of his career helping his family run the Annandale Boys and Girls Club, where he has been club President for the last 18 years.

Those left to honor Kip’s legacy include his wife Ann Orrison Germain, daughter Kimberly Germain, son Brian Germain, daughter Kelly (Eric) Marshall, grandsons Corbin, Harrison, and Orrin Marshall, brothers Rusty (Radha) and Greg (Suzy) Germain, sister Julie (Jeff Thompson), and dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

Kip was preceded in death by his father Everett Germain Jr., mother Lois (McCann) Germain, brother Kevin Germain, and sister Betsy Cary.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in contributions of Kip’s honor to the Annandale Boys and Girls Club.
