Fred Stewart Clark

Fred Stewart “Stew” Clark a resident of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.   Predeceased by his parents Robert Thomasson Clark and Sara Ann Stewart Clark, he is survived by his wife of almost 23 years Alexandra and his three children, Cameron, Lauren and Ryan who were the light of his life.  He is also survived by his brother Robert T. Clark, Jr. (wife Lisa) of New Orleans, LA, his sister Mary Kenley Clark of Williamsburg, MA and niece and nephews Julia Clark, Bobby Clark and Joey Salvatori. 

Stew was born in Greenwich, Connecticut on May 25, 1964, graduated from Greenwich High School in 1982 and attended Ithaca College.  After college he briefly lived in and led haunted tours in Prague, Czech Republic.  After returning to the states he lived in the Washington D. C. area and had a long career in the tech industry.  Recently he owned his own adventure travel company which had allowed him to pursue his passion for travel, leading trips to Iceland, the Galapagos Islands and Easter Island, among other places.  

Stew was a loving father whose joy for life permeated all that he did.  He loved reading, history, the Washington Nationals (especially on any bobblehead day) and vacationing with his family in Perdido Key and Belize.  Stew will be dearly missed by his family and friends and remembered by all for his sense of humor and love of family. 

The family is planning to hold a private memorial service and a larger celebration of his life at a later date when circumstances allow.    

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Conservation Fund or charity of your choice.
