James Edward Towers died unexpectedly Monday evening, January 28th, 2019. He was 67 years old.
Born on March 23, 1951 in Winchester, Virginia, James was a lifelong Va. resident, living in Arlington for most of that time. He was employed by a number of charitable organizations over the years. He was an avid bowler, loved taking long walks, the company of family and friends, colorful bows from gifts, and a really good cup of coffee. James touched many lives and was loved by all who met him.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Irving Towers and Clara Lee Reams Towers, and his sisters Carolyn L. Stewart and Margaret A. Armstrong.
James is survived by his brothers Charles A. Towers and wife Nancy, Ronald I. Towers and wife Elizabeth, sister Beverly C. Kerr and husband Edward, and brother-in-law Clifford G. Stewart.
James also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, and his wonderful CLA family, June, Danny, Polly, and Calvin, as well as a host of loving care givers spanning decades.
We will all miss him dearly.
