Margaret “Peggy” Anne Albus French passed away on November 26, 2021 at the age of 90. She lived a life full of faith, adventure, and love.
Peggy was devoted to God and her family. She was a devout Catholic and spent her days practicing her faith. She had a passion for travel, history, and reading. You could often find her in the morning reading the Washington Post with a cup of tea.
Peggy was a dear mother, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She’s survived by her six children, Kathleen French Jackson (Doug), Steve French (Patricia), Cynthia “Summer” French Donaldson (Buddy), Patricia French Crowe (Dave), Ronald French (Cynthia), and William French (Annie). She’s also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one on the way.
Peggy touched the lives of each and every person she met. Her hospitality and affection were unmatched. She will be missed deeply.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at Everly Funeral Home, 6161 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA. 22044. A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held the following day on Friday December 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 3305 Glen Carlyn Rd., Falls Church, VA 22041, followed by a burial at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery located at 3401 Bladensburg Rd., Brentwood, MD, 20722.
A reception following the burial will be held at The Ascent at Spring Hill Station, 8421 Broad St., McLean, VA, 22102. Guests may park in the old Container Store parking lot adjacent to the building then walk through the front doors of the building where the front desk will allow people to enter. If nobody is at the front desk, call Amy Donaldson at 703-606-9762 and she will let you in. When you’ve accessed the lobby, walk to the elevators and choose PH (penthouse) for the reception area.
