The family of Mary Widad Nassif, "Tata", sadly announces the loss of their mother, grandmother, and great grandmother on April 14, 2023. Born in Jaffa, Palestine on July 10, 1928, she met her husband, Ramzy Iskandar Nassif, at the American University of Beirut (AUB). The two married soon after Ramzy's graduation from medical school in 1953.
After a break in her studies to raise a young family, she received her Master 's degree in Psychology in 1976 from AUB. Tata was an avid tennis player, a master chef, a polyglot, and could be found most Sundays in front of the TV cheering on her favorite football team. She was witty, quick to laugh, a bit mischievous, and always looked on the sunny side of life. She raised strong headed children, the beloved mother of Alexander Nassif (Karen Lorden), Mona Malouf (Michael Malouf), Randa McCall (Charles McCall) and Hala Nassif; loving grandmother of Khalil, Ramzy, and Sana Malouf, Matthew and Kelly McCall, and Mary Elizabeth and Catherine Susan Skillman. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great grandchildren. Private interment will be held at Columbia Gardens Cemetery on April 25, 2023.
