Hearts Love 34

Mary Joy Losare Beasley

December 23, 1972 ~ March 6, 2024 (age 51) 51 Years Old

Tribute

We are deeply saddened by the sudden death of our dearest Joy on March 6, 2024. She was 51 years old. Joy is survived by her husband, Rand Dee “Randy” Beasley and her nine siblings:

ISIDRO GEROMIANO (Bebot), MARITIS LOSARE. (Bukay), VIRGELENE LOSARE. (Daylen), JUANITO LOSARE JR. (Junjun), JESUS LOSARE. ( Jojo), JONEL LOSARE. (Dondon), JESSY LOSARE. (Doy), JERRYTAN LOSARE. (Bay), JESTONE LOSARE. (Tone)

Fondly called “Nana” or “Nana Joy” by family and friends, our beloved Joy was a close friend and sister to many of us. She has been a part of the Guevara family since she was 16 years old. She was a second mother to a number of the Guevara children whom she took care of from when they were young. She moved to the United States 27 years ago to help take care of the newborn triplet boys Matthew, Mark, and Vincent, the sons of Marinette and Vicpaul Guevara.  Although she was living in the United States, she never neglected her own family back in the Philippines. She helped support her siblings through school, built a home for her parents, provided for her nieces and nephews, and ensured that her family would have a steady livelihood by helping and providing them with their own livestock.

In 2009, Joy met Randy Beasley, the love of her life, and tied the knot in 2012.  In 2018, she discovered that her kidneys were failing and began dialysis. In the years to follow, her health declined and unbeknownst to her and the rest of the family, she developed a heart condition. On Tuesday, February 13, 2024 she suffered multiple strokes and was brought to the hospital. Shortly afterwards, she fell into a coma and sadly never regained consciousness.

Joy was kind, humble, selfless, giving and was always ready to help. She was generous with her time and attention to those who needed her listening ear. She was a good cook and would happily volunteer to make lumpia (her signature dish) or pancit for many of the family gatherings. Throughout the last ten years, she worked as a caregiver to the elderly to whom she would give her utmost compassionate care and dedication, giving comfort even to their very last moments of life (including her own mother-in-law).  Her employers spoke highly of her.  She was very well respected by her colleagues and the staff of the Chesterbrook Residences where she worked most of the last few years. All her employers and their families loved her dearly. The couple she worked with these last few months before she was brought to the hospital, just wanted her company even though her work was done for the day.  They were content when she stayed and just watched TV with them.

She never made it back to visit her beloved homeland, the Philippines, as planned. She was scheduled to travel to see her relatives on February 22, 2024.  It is the wish of her siblings to bid farewell and lay her body to rest in Lambunao, her hometown in the province of Iloilo, Philippines. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help cover the costs to bring Nana Joy home. With trust in God’s providence and by your kind and generous support, we can fulfill the wish of her family in the Philippines.

We will miss her very much.
