Silviu Ziscovici was born to Victoria and Moise Ziscovici in Bucharest, Romania January 25th 1955. He grew up in Bucharest where he earned his doctorate in Medicine and met his wife Eugenia. He arrived in the United States in 1982 as a political refugee. He became a naturalized US citizen while maintaining strong ties to his heritage both abroad and with the Romanian-American community.
He had the honor of helping thousands while working as a physician in some of the nations busiest emergency rooms between New York City and Washington D.C. Dr. Ziscovici and his wife Eugenia opened an internal medicine clinic in Rockville in 1996 where he practiced until he retired from medicine in 2010. Aside from spending time with his family he found the greatest joy in being able to serve others in the community. He will be remembered by many as someone who generously gave support, compassion, and selfless care to patients, friends, and family in their time of need. He is survived by his three children; William, Charles, and Diana Ziscovici.
Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew Romanian Orthadox Church in Potomac, MD. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM with a service to follow at 10:00AM. He will be laid to rest at Columbia Gardens Cemetery following services.
