To her parents, Sophia June was known as Soph J, or more commonly, “The Chief”. She almost always had a smile on her face and was known for her infectious belly laugh that made her sound like a dirty old man. The Chief had just recently learned to walk and was a girl on the move, exploring anywhere and everywhere her legs would take her. She loved to eat and would often burst into mass hysteria if someone else was eating in front of her while she remained a spectator on the sidelines. She enjoyed being outdoors for walks around the neighborhood, playing peek-a-boo with her blanket, staring out the window as the garbage truck came by, clapping her hands together while her audience yelled “YAY!”, looking at pictures and videos of herself, cuddling with her toy hedgehog, spending time with Tata, Papa, and all her friends at daycare, video chatting with her grandparents, reading books with her mom, and practicing her wrestling moves with her dad.
Survivors include her parents, Chris and Alexis Berger; her grandparents, Frank and Valois Berger, Valerie Ivory, and Patrick Ivory; her uncle and aunt, Geoff and Lauren Berger; her cousins, Avery and Ashton Berger; her Godmother, Bridget Doria; her Godfather, Shaun Sargent; as well as many other extended family and friends.
