Victor Do

Victor Do passed away peacefully at Virginia Hospital Center on January 13, 2021 surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was born Đỗ-Quang Dung on November 12, 1927 in Hà Nội, Việt Nam. Victor grown up during the turbulence time of World War II and lived through the length of the Vietnam war. As a young man, he worked for Banque de L’Indochine – later named the National Bank of Việt Nam – until he retired in 1975 when Saigon changed hand. In 1982, he immigrated to the U.S. with his family and lived in Rockville, Maryland. He worked for the U.S. Import and Export Bank until his retirement in 1998.

Victor is survived by his seven children, his twelve grandchildren and his brother Đỗ-Quang Kim of Montreal, Canada. He was predeceased by his wife Hoàng Thị Tỵ in 1998.
