Viktor Fatovic

Born to Bozica and Ive Fatovic on the Dalmatian island of Sestrunj in Croatia on October 16, 1939, Viktor passed away on January 3, 2021 surrounded by his family in Falls Church.  He is survived by his wife Ana, son Teddy, daughter-in-law Vivian, his precious grandchildren Gabriella, Josephine, and Luka, and his brothers Boris and Sime.

Viktor arrived in New York City in 1966, having left his life in the former Yugoslavia behind to build a better one for himself and his future family.  He married his wife Ana in 1968, had a son in 1969, and fulfilled his dream of becoming an American citizen in 1971.

He will be remembered for his strength of character, iron will, honesty, and willingness to help his friends.  He is the epitome of someone living the American dream; he came with nothing and through hard work and sheer force of will, built a comfortable life for himself and his family.  He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held on Monday, January 11th 2021. The family will be gathering for a private viewing at Everly Funeral Home which will then be followed by a graveside service at Oakwoord Cemetery at 2:00PM which is open to the public.
