Wayne Lee Johnson

Wayne Johnson went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2019. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Warren Johnson Sr. and the late Virginia Johnson. Wayne came to know the Lord at an early age at Ocean View Baptist Church in Norfolk, Virginia. Wayne graduated from West Springfield Highschool. He went on to attend Barbizon Modeling school where he became a professional model. His life passion and work were supporting adults with special needs, where he started as a direct support staff and advanced all the way to Director of Operations for Residential Programs at Resources for Independence of Virginia, Inc (RIVA), a non-profit organization where he worked for over 20 years.

Wayne was a kind, warm, and loving person who possessed a genuine soul and a charismatic personality. His love was infectious to all those he surrounded, and he was loved by all who knew him. His love even extended to his community as he touched many lives thru his acts of kindness, leaving behind a precious legacy of loving and caring for others. Wayne will always be remembered for his endearing character and sophisticated style; He was truly a class act!!!

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving partner of 35 years, Richard Bosques, who he loved till the end. His siblings, Maria Madyun (Robert)of Warwick, RI, Warren Johnson Jr. (Fay) of Norfolk, VA, Denise Lipscomb (Curtis) of Norfolk, VA, Deborah Simpson (Tyrone) of Lorton, VA, Darlene Reaves of Arlington, VA, Dawn Wanzer of Woodbridge, VA, and Deanna Johnson of Springfield, VA, and 4 godchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
