I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. My memories of him go way back in time. My Dad, Bill Perine, and your Dad were childhood friends throughout their entire lives. Our connection also goes back to our grandmothers. Your grandmother Bingley and my grandmother Perine were friends in high school. Your grandmother used to cut my grandmother's hair. They lived very close to each other in NW Washington. Your Dad and my Dad took guitar lessons together and rode the street car to get there. My Mom told me that when they began taking the lessons, your grandfather Bingley took off work and rode the street car with them to show them where to get off and how to catch the street car home again. After that, they rode by themselves each way. I have wonderful memories of your Dad coming over to visit when I was a child and how much fun he and my Dad used to have. When my parents were moving back to McLean after living in Winchester for a few years, they stayed with your Dad until they found a place to live. I'll always be so thankful for his love to my parents and friendship throughout the years. And now they are all together once again.

Barbara and Carolyn, I was thinking of your wonderful father today! He was always a favorite friend of my dads. I am sorry I didn't hear of Mr. Bingley's passing until today so I could tell u sooner of how fond the Perine family is of him. May you be comforted today in knowing that I (the Perines) will miss him. Nancy Perine Whitten, Orlando, FL

I am so sorry to hear that your Dad passed in September and that I have just heard. I have great memories of parties at his house in Arlington and also dinners in his condo near Key Bridge. We had a fun evening with him at Blues Alley and enjoyed his visits to our house as well. Please know that I am saddened and I know that you miss him. My condolences .Betty Knight, December 14.

I first met Tom in 1983. In all the years I knew him he was a caring and supportive friend. On a number of occasions I had the pleasure of playing guitar with him and listening to stories about his life and his background in music. I am saddened to hear of his passing.

We are deeply saddened by the news of your loss. Mr. Tom Bingley volunteered his time working with us at the Unity and the Independence Clubs in Falls Church over the last thirty years. Tom’s example and wisdom enriched the lives of all the souls he touched. Our members will surely miss his smile, wonderful sense of humor and outlook on life!

Our most sincere condolences.

Thank you, Dan. Dad LOVED working there. He enjoyed golf for many years, following it on TV after he could no longer play.

Over three decades Tom was a true friend. We will always appreciate and remember heroic things that he did. We have wonderful memories of birthday and holiday celebration, and other times. Tom had great class, and was as sharp as a tack. We will miss him greatly.

Our condolences to Barbara, Carol, Peter, and the rest of the family.

I met Tom while I was his daughter's, Carolyn"Bing" , college roommate. We spent a weekend in DC and he gave us the grand tour, visiting the real Old Ebbitt Grill and shopping for a suitcase for me. I got a real deal! Years later, we spent a few Thanksgivings with Barbars, Tom, Scott, Carolyn and Pete in Cape May. I will never forget his talent accompanying Kim as she sang a tribute to Andy at their wedding. He is the only golfer I know who converted his dining room into a driving range! How can you ever forget somebody like this. Pam P
