Earl L. Ziebell

June 25, 1929 ~ December 13, 2017 (age 88)

Col  Earl Ziebell, (USA, RET) passed away on December 13 in Falls Church, VA. He is survived by his wife, Louise Garcia Beaudreaux Ziebell; his daughter, Laura Ziebell Kayata (McKinney, TX); his step-daughter, Karen Garcia (Alexandria, VA), and his grand-daughter, Rose Hart (Austin, TX). He was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce (Granberry), and his brother Paul. 

A 39-year veteran of the US Army (Medical Service Corps), he served his country with pride in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Germany and many stateside posts. He was the Troop Commander at Walter Reed Army Hospital and was appointed to the Joint Congressional Presidential Inauguration Committee. He was a graduate of the US Army War College, and held a Masters Degree in Public Administration.

Visitation will be at the Everly Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 6161 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA on December 19 from 3-6, with a life celebration service at 3:30. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or Army Emergency Relief. Funeral and military burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
